The project information block records project and device information and can also be used to hide sensitive information. The block can save information about the overall project or device details.

(1) Overall project details
At the bottom right of Project View's work area is the Project Information box. If the project file is saved (File > Save As), the project name will display at the top of the box.

When saving the file, a recommended format name is:
(ProjectName)_(SoftwareVersion)_(VersionNumber)_(LastUpdateDate)
Recording the software version, version number and last update date will help you stay organized and keep track of projects, especially when other software versions are available.

Double click the box to open it.

You can edit the: company name, company address, author, description, notes, document name, document number and the document date.

Any text recorded in Notes will be hidden from the main views. You can store secure information about the job and passwords here.

Another way to access the block is in the Object Property menu. Select the work area. At the bottom of the menu lists Document information. View/edit the title, document number and the date.
Click Document Details to open the project information box. (Same as double clicking the box)

A third way to access the block is to go up to Project > Project Information.

When exporting a BluePrint drawing, company name, company address, document name, Document number, author, and date information will be included.
When exporting a Bill of Materials document, the company name, project number and author information will be included.
